Tinubu Urges Muslims to Embrace Unity and Compassion

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to uphold the values of piety, compassion, and unity beyond the Ramadan period. In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu called on Muslims to renew their commitment to the nation and humanity as they celebrate the end of Ramadan.

He emphasized the need for Muslims to rededicate themselves to the noble teachings of Ramadan, particularly the virtues of empathy and selflessness. Furthermore, he urged Muslims to extend acts of kindness to the less privileged, regardless of religious background, to demonstrate unity and camaraderie.

Tinubu also called on Muslim leaders to offer prayers for peace and prosperity in Nigeria. Earlier reports indicated that as part of efforts to support citizens during the fasting period, Tinubu directed the distribution of rice nationwide, a move disclosed by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, aimed at strengthening national unity and compassion during this spiritually significant time.
