NOA Urges Nigerians to Embrace Sacrifice for Eid-el-Kabir

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Jigawa State called on Nigerians to embrace the values of sacrifice and patriotism during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. In a statement made available to journalists in Dutse, Jigawa State's capital, Mr.

Sarah Ogodo, on behalf of the state director Mr. Ahmad Ibrahim, urged citizens to allow the spirit of the season to shape their conduct.

The agency highlighted that Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's ultimate sacrifice in obedience to God, which serves as a lesson for Nigeria's current challenges. Ogodo identified sacrifice, discipline, and selflessness as essential virtues for moving beyond mere prayers to actionable support in public life.

She emphasized that national unity cannot be built on slogans alone but requires citizens to demonstrate faith in God and love for the country. The statement also called for the promotion of peace and coexistence, particularly towards vulnerable communities, and encouraged the Muslim ummah in Jigawa State to emulate Prophet Ibrahim's devotion by extending charity to the less privileged.
