Kwara Police Deploy Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir Security

The Kwara State Police Command announced a significant deployment of personnel across the state in preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in 2026. This initiative aims to ensure the safety of residents and prevent any security breaches during the festive period.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the command's spokesperson, Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi. The police have implemented extensive security measures to guarantee peaceful celebrations throughout the state.

The statement emphasized the importance of celebrating peacefully and adhering to the law. The command disclosed that personnel would be strategically deployed to Eid prayer grounds, recreational centers, highways, and other critical locations.

They warned residents against erecting tents or canopies that could obstruct public roads and pose security risks. The police urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station using the emergency numbers 0703 206 9501 and 0812 527 5046.
