Nollywood Mourns Loss of Actress Atinuke Kareem to Cancer

Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, popularly known as Atinuke Kareem, died on September 1 after a battle with breast cancer. The announcement of her death was made by Owolabi Ajasa, the governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, via a statement on his Instagram page.

Just four months prior to her passing, Atinuke had publicly sought financial assistance for her treatment, which garnered significant sympathy from fans and colleagues. Her death comes shortly after the loss of veteran Yoruba actor Ogogo, who passed away eight days earlier due to stage 4 cancer.

The news of Atinuke's death has led to an outpouring of grief within the Nigerian entertainment community, as many mourn the loss of both actors.
