Oyebanji Leads Early in Ekiti Governorship Election Results

In the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured an early lead as results begin to trickle in. Initial reports indicate that Oyebanji received 78,979 votes, placing him significantly ahead of his closest rival, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which garnered 10,736 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by candidate Dare Bejid, is currently in third place with 2,964 votes. In his polling unit, Oyebanji received 140 votes, while Bejid received 37 votes.

The results reflect a substantial margin for the APC over the PDP and ADC as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues to upload the total results.
