PDP Wins First Polling Unit in Ekiti Election

In the recent Ekiti election, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) achieved a significant victory by winning the first polling unit. The PDP garnered 119 votes, narrowly defeating the incumbent governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 113 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) managed to secure two votes, while the National Rescue Movement (NRM) also recorded two votes, with some ballots declared void. A total of 237 voters were accredited for this polling unit, which had 790 registered voters.

The voting process was conducted peacefully, with electoral officials and party agents monitoring the proceedings amid heightened interest in the upcoming 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
