ADC Will Not Contest Oyebanji's Election in Ekiti State

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that it will not challenge the election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Ekiti State. This decision was communicated by Gboyega Aribisogan, the ADC's state chairman, who stated that the party's candidate received a total of 12,872 votes, placing third in the election.

Governor Oyebanji won the election with 319,224 votes. Aribisogan emphasized that the ADC's decision is in the overall interest of the party and the people of Ekiti State, opting to avoid protracted litigation.

Instead, the party will focus on grassroots mobilization and strengthening its structure across the 177 wards in the state. The ADC aims to engage constructively with the electoral process and has directed its executive council to shift attention towards reconciliation and mobilization efforts.
