Ekiti State Enhances Partnership with Nigerian Air Force

Ekiti State is intensifying its collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to enhance the operations of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport and strengthen security across the state. Governor Biodun Oyebanji made this announcement during a work visit to the office of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sundai Anek, at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

Oyebanji praised the NAF for its professionalism and dedication to safeguarding lives and protecting critical infrastructure. He noted that the NAF has made available 1,000 hectares of land for the Air Force, which is ready for occupation.

The governor emphasized the need for close cooperation with the NAF to ensure smooth airport operations and maximize its potential for economic growth. Air Marshal Anek commended Oyebanji's proactive approach and expressed NAF's eagerness to deepen collaboration with the state government, which is crucial for airport security and overall safety for residents and visitors.

Discussions also included establishing an aircraft repair and overhaul center at the airport.
