Eno Commends Nigerian Air Force for Security in Akwa Ibom

On Friday, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State commended the Nigerian Air Force for its efforts in strengthening security within the state. His remarks came during an operational visit to Chief of Air Staff Sundai Anek in Akwa Ibom, where he inspected the newly operational 309 Composite Group in Eket.

Eno described the establishment of this group as a significant milestone in security operations, which has visibly improved safety and boosted investor confidence, thereby supporting economic stability. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to collaborating with the Nigerian Air Force, highlighting that security is central to the government's development agenda.

The governor noted that the improved security architecture has translated into increased economic activity and greater investor confidence in Akwa Ibom. During the visit, he met with traditional leaders, including Paramount Ruler Edidem Charl D Abia, and emphasized the importance of civil-military cooperation in sustaining security gains.

The 309 Composite Group is expected to enhance surveillance and rapid deployment to protect critical infrastructure across the state.
