Early Voter Turnout at Ekiti Governorship Election

On Saturday, voters in Ekiti State showed early enthusiasm for the governorship election, particularly at polling unit 003 located in front of Governor Biodun Oyebanji's family compound in Ikogosi, Ekiti West Local Government Area. Voting commenced at 8:30 AM, with officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) present to oversee the process.

Voters were seen checking their names on the register and preparing to cast their ballots. The officials assured voters that adequate materials were provided to ensure a smooth exercise.

Residents from Ado Ekiti began arriving as early as 7 AM to verify their names on the voter register, demonstrating their commitment to participating in the electoral process. Security personnel were deployed early to maintain order and ensure a peaceful exercise throughout the voting period.
