Fayose Alerts EFCC on APC's Alleged Vote Buying Plot

Isaac Fayose, a businessman and member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has raised concerns regarding an alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to buy votes in the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election scheduled for Saturday. In a video shared on his official Facebook page, Fayose claimed that credible intelligence suggests arrangements have already been made to influence voters with cash.

He has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to closely monitor activities during the election and take immediate action against anyone caught attempting to buy votes. Fayose emphasized that the credibility of the election will largely depend on the EFCC's handling of electoral offenses.

He argued that Nigeria's democratic system continues to suffer from manipulation, making it difficult for genuinely popular candidates to emerge victorious. The effectiveness of the EFCC in apprehending vote buyers will be tested during the election.
