Senate Spokesman Yemi Adaramodu Denies Vote-Buying Claims

Yemi Adaramodu, the Senate spokesman representing the South Senatorial District, refuted allegations of vote-buying involving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Ekiti State governorship election. He described these allegations as false and mischievous claims propagated by opposition members.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Unit 1, Ward 11 in Ilaw, Ekiti, Adaramodu questioned if anyone had ever witnessed vote-selling or exchanges of votes for money. He stated that when individuals lose elections, they often resort to making frivolous allegations.

Adaramodu asserted that the people of Ekiti State are simply exercising their civic responsibilities and are not being coerced or influenced to sell their votes. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful electoral process and expressed confidence in the APC's ability to engage voters effectively.
