Adaramodu Defends INEC, Dismisses Vote-Buying Claims

Yemi Adaramodu, the Senator representing Ekiti South, publicly commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a hitch-free electoral process during the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State. He refuted allegations that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were involved in vote-buying, describing such claims as false and a form of mischief propagated by opposition party members.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Unit 1, Ward 11 in Ilaw, Ekiti, Adaramodu stated that he had not witnessed any instances of vote selling or buying. He emphasized that citizens were participating in their civic responsibilities and suggested that accusations of vote-buying often arise from the frustration of losing candidates.

Adaramodu expressed confidence in the APC's performance and urged that any evidence of wrongdoing should be presented. He also commended security agencies and stakeholders for their roles in facilitating the electoral process.
