Oba Aderemi Advocates for Enhanced Road Safety Collaboration

During the 30th anniversary celebration of Motor World held at the Muson Centre in Lagos, Oba Aderemi advocated for stronger collaboration on road safety. He commended Motor World’s Managing Director, Mr.

Femi Owoey, for contributions to Nigeria's automotive industry and recognized the outstanding efforts of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in promoting road safety. Oba Aderemi discussed a study revealing that road accidents in Nigeria are often linked to driver negligence and poor vehicle maintenance, such as wheel misalignment and unbalanced tires.

He expressed satisfaction with the establishment of an auto care business focusing on wheel alignment and tire balancing to improve vehicle safety. The monarch lamented the low level of knowledge among motorists regarding basic vehicle maintenance and tire safety, warning against overinflation of tires.

He disclosed plans to collaborate with former FRSC Corps Marshal Dr. Boboy Oyeyemi on future road safety initiatives and expressed optimism for a stronger partnership among government agencies, industry players, and media to create safer roads.
