Ekiti Poll to Test APC Strength Before 2027 Elections

Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani stated that the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, scheduled for June 20, will serve as a crucial indicator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) strength in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Sani, who is also the chairman of the Ekiti State governorship election campaign council, spoke upon his arrival at Ado Ekiti Airport ahead of the official flag-off of the APC campaign for Governor Biodun Oyebanji's re-election.

He emphasized that the outcome of the election will reflect the acceptance of the party's leadership under President Bola Tinubu. Sani expressed confidence in Oyebanji's previous achievements, highlighting his commitment to people-oriented policies and infrastructural development, which he believes will secure the support of the Ekiti people in the upcoming election.

The Kaduna governor received a warm welcome from a state government delegation led by Deputy Governor Mr. Monisad Afuy.
