Oyebanji Dominates Fayose's Polling Unit with 448 Votes

In the recent governorship election in Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) achieved a significant victory at polling unit 001, St. David's Primary School, located in Afao Ekiti, the hometown of former governor Ayodele Fayose.

Oyebanji garnered 448 votes out of 493 valid votes cast, defeating his closest rival, Dare Bejid of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who received 37 votes. Wole Oluyede of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) managed only four votes.

The total number of registered voters at the polling unit was 931, with 538 voters accredited. The results also indicated seven rejected ballots.

This outcome is particularly noteworthy given the polling unit's location in a stronghold of the PDP, underscoring the APC's dominance in the election across various parts of the state.
