Eko DisCo Launches Free Prepaid Meter Roll-out to Close Nigeria's Meter Gap

Eko DisCo has initiated the second phase of its free prepaid meter roll-out under the Presidential Meter Initiative's Meter Acquisition Fund (MAF) Tranche B. The aim is to address the meter gap within Eko DisCo's franchise areas by providing eligible customers with prepaid meters at no cost.

Customers can apply through Eko DisCo's online portal for new connections or meter replacements. The initiative is part of efforts to improve transparency, eliminate estimated billing, and enhance customer confidence in the electricity value chain.

Babatunde Lasaki, the General Manager of Corporate Communications and Strategy at Eko DisCo, highlighted the commitment to enhancing customer experience and service transparency.
