El-Rufai Appears in Court for Bail Hearing on Corruption Charges

Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, arrived at the Kaduna State High Court as the hearing on his bail application resumed. This case is instituted against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), which previously adjourned the hearing on his bail application filed on April 14.

El-Rufai was arraigned on 10 counts of charges that involve allegations of financial improprieties related to public property and money laundering. The anti-corruption agency, ICPC, accuses him of being involved in financial misconduct linked to public assets during his tenure as governor.

The proceedings continue as the court addresses the bail application in light of these serious allegations.
