El-Rufai to Face Punishment for Tapping NSA's Phone

The Presidency has stated that former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai will face punishment for allegedly tapping the phone line of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. This announcement follows El-Rufai's recounting of prior knowledge regarding an attempt to arrest him at the Abuja International Airport.

During an interview with Arise Television, El-Rufai defended his legal position on phone interception, acknowledging the technique's illegality. The incident has raised concerns about national security, prompting special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Onanuga, to express that the matter will not be ignored.

The Presidency emphasized that El-Rufai will not escape the consequences of his actions, indicating that he will face the full wrath of the law for this alleged misconduct.
