Jafaru Ibrahim Sani Joins ADC for Kaduna Governorship Race

Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, who previously served as a commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs and later as the head of the Ministry of Education during Nasir El-Rufai's administration, has announced his candidacy for the 2027 governorship election in Kaduna State. He will be contesting under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Sani confirmed his intention through a brief response on WhatsApp, adding to the growing list of aspirants seeking the ADC governorship ticket ahead of the general elections. During a meeting with party stakeholders, Sani and other gubernatorial hopefuls reportedly agreed to collaborate to ensure the ADC's success in the upcoming electoral cycle.

The ADC aims to strengthen unity within the party and build a formidable opposition platform for the polls. Prominent contenders in the ADC governorship race include Isah Ashiru, who was the PDP candidate in the 2023 election, and Muhammad Sani Bello.
