Bello El-Rufai's Loyalty to APC Conditional on Father

Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has indicated that he would consider leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) only if his father directs him to do so. This statement comes amidst speculation regarding potential defections from the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Bello firmly dismissed suggestions that his political decisions are influenced by online pressure, emphasizing his commitment to the voters who entrusted him with the mandate in Kaduna North. He highlighted his electoral victory, where he won the Kaduna North representative seat with 51,052 votes, defeating PDP candidate Samaila, who garnered 34,808 votes.

Bello El-Rufai also reiterated his loyalty to the Kaduna state administration led by Governor Uba Sani, whom he referred to as his boss, and expressed respect for his father, whom he repeatedly called "Mallam." He challenged social media users who suggested he should leave the APC, stating he would resign his seat only if directed by his father.
