ADC Rejects Electoral Laws with Transmission Loopholes in Nigeria

The African Democrat Congress (ADC) has strongly opposed electoral laws that contain loopholes in the transmission of election results, stating that such provisions could lead to abuses and undermine the integrity of the electoral process in Nigeria. The party's spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, highlighted the importance of real-time electronic transmission to bolster public confidence and strengthen the country's democracy.

The ADC called for the urgent removal of provisions that weaken safeguards and create ambiguities in the electoral laws. They urged the National Assembly to align the final version of the bill with recommendations from the conference committee to ensure transparent, credible, and verifiable elections in Nigeria.
