Nigerians in UK urged to enroll families in health insurance

On Monday, during a visit to Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Aminu Dalhatu, Otunba Lekan Ewenla, the Managing Director of Ultimate Health HMO, urged Nigerians living abroad to enroll their relatives, dependants, and staff in health insurance in Nigeria. Ewenla emphasized that relying solely on sending money for medical expenses is inadequate, as funds are often not used for healthcare purposes.

He advocated for the Diaspora Health Insurance Programme, stating it offers a more reliable means of addressing healthcare needs. Ewenla criticized the outdated practice of out-of-pocket payments for healthcare and encouraged Nigerians in the UK to consider enrolling their dependants and staff in this insurance scheme.

He was accompanied by Ultimate Health HMO Business Manager, Titilope Sonaike, and the company’s Lead Business Consultant in the UK, Otunba Arch. Mobolaji Falase.
