Medismart Launches Portal for Uninsured Nigerians' Healthcare

Medismart, under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Obinna Osuji, is set to launch a diaspora premium payment portal next month as part of its vision to expand healthcare access for Nigeria's 180 million uninsured individuals. The portal is designed to ease the financial burden of medical expenses, allowing patients to receive necessary care without resorting to public fundraising efforts on social media.

Osuji emphasized that healthcare access is a basic human need, and the current situation, where individuals must solicit funds for surgeries, is dehumanizing. The portal will connect the Nigerian diaspora with Medismart's platform, enabling them to purchase insurance packages for their loved ones in Nigeria.

This initiative aligns with Medismart's long-term goal of integrating health insurance subscription payment solutions to democratize healthcare access, particularly for underserved communities.
