Alabi Kolad David Urges Unity and Sacrifice on Eid-al-Adha

Alabi Kolad David, the Emeritus President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), congratulated the Muslim community in Somolu, Lagos State, on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha. In his message, he highlighted that Eid-al-Adha is not merely a feast but a reminder of the faith's call to sacrifice, unity, and service.

He urged the Muslim ummah to reflect on the lessons from the lives of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail, emphasizing true devotion and the importance of surrendering for the sake of Allah. Alabi called for the community to unite, laying down pride and selfish divisions to foster a vibrant and resilient society.

He encouraged daily expressions of the Eid spirit through reconciliation, strengthening bonds, and ensuring that no neighbor is left behind. Alabi's message also pointed out that the essence of Eid should extend beyond the altar, promoting justice, tolerance, and service within the community.
