Emir of Kano Launches Digital Library with Afrinvest

On Thursday, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, commissioned a digital library at his palace in partnership with Afrinvest. This library will provide access to major academic libraries globally and includes the Emir’s own library, which contains over 300,000 digitalized books, some of which are over fifty years old.

The Emir stated that the digital library will be accessible to students preparing for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB, as well as university students and researchers. However, the books will be available online but cannot be downloaded to preserve their integrity.

During the ceremony, the Emir also served as the guest of honor at the Ethical Wealth Solutions Launch and Stakeholders session of Afrinvest, encouraging Kano residents to utilize the investment opportunities offered by Afrinvest, which comply with Islamic law. Ike Chioke, the Group Managing Director of Afrinvest, announced the establishment of a 35-seater ICT center in the palace, which will facilitate digital education and is powered by a 15KW solar system.
