Energia Celebrates 25 Years, Aims for 20,000 BPD Capacity

Energia, an indigenous energy company, is celebrating 25 years of operations with a focus on expanding its production capacity to 20,000 barrels of oil per day. Founded in 2001, Energia has demonstrated resilience and innovation in Nigeria's energy sector.

The company achieved First Oil from the Ebendo/Obodeti field in 2009 and reached cumulative production milestones of one million barrels in 2012, five million barrels in March 2016, and ten million barrels in 2020. Investments in production infrastructure, new seismic data, and drilling are part of its growth strategy.

Additionally, Energia has expanded its infrastructure, including upgrading its flow station capacity to 8,000 barrels per day and 25 million standard cubic feet of gas per day in 2014. The company has collaborated with Xenergi for gas processing and secured interests in the Ugbo and Irigbo marginal fields.

Chairman George Osahon and Managing Director Oladimeji Bashorun emphasized the importance of disciplined execution and partnerships in shaping the company's future.
