Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno Affirms Respect for Predecessors

Pastor Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, expressed his commitment to respecting his predecessors, especially Deacon Udom Emmanuel, during a memorial service for his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno, at All Nations Christian Ministry International in Eket. Eno emphasized that his upbringing instilled in him a deep respect for past leaders.

He addressed a request from the Paramount Ruler of ONNA Local Government Area regarding struggling industries, clarifying that his involvement was not related to Udom Emmanuel but rather to the owners of those businesses. Eno warned against mischief makers trying to create discord between him and past leaders, stating, “I will never have a problem with my predecessor.” He reiterated that he had publicly and privately shown respect for Deacon Udom Emmanuel and that his recent statements were not intended to implicate Emmanuel in any business matters.
