Enugu APC Unites to Support Governor Mbah for 2027

Barr Ferdinand Ukwuez, the Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Enugu State chapter, announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu is now united and prepared to support Governor Peter Mbah in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This statement followed the successful conduct of the APC ward and local government congresses, which culminated in a state congress that elected new party executives.

Ukwuez highlighted the orderly conduct of these congresses as a demonstration of strong unity within the party, indicating broad support for Mbah's leadership. He emphasized the need for the party to focus on strategies for future electoral contests, aiming for a target of 99.9% of the votes for Mbah's re-election in 2027.

The new leadership, led by Dr. Martin Chukwunwik, was described as widely accepted and reflective of renewed strength within the party, while the outgoing caretaker committee, led by Dr.

Ben Nwoy, was commended for its focus on rebuilding and stabilizing the party.
