Enugu APC Chairman Praises Peaceful Local Elections

Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, the Enugu State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), commended the local government elections held on September 26 across the 17 local government areas of Enugu State for their peaceful and transparent nature. He praised the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) and security agencies for their effective collaboration.

After voting at Central School Polling Unit 005 in Isu-Awaa/Ituku/Agbudu ward, he noted a strong voter turnout, attributing it to the electorate's desire to re-elect their chairmen for continued development. He specifically mentioned Hon. Uche Okolo's commendable performance in Awgu local government area, where he initiated projects like a water borehole.

Chukwunweike assured that the support for local chairmen would extend to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah in the 2027 General elections. Elder Geoffrey Ugwu and Dr. John Egbo also expressed satisfaction with the elections, highlighting the absence of violence and the opportunity for community engagement.
