Nwifuru Praises Peaceful Conduct of Ebonyi Elections

On Saturday, during the local government and councillorship elections across 13 local government areas and 171 wards in Ebonyi State, Governor Francis Nwifuru commended the peaceful voting process. After casting his vote at Edukwu Okemini 002 Polling Unit in Oferekpe Agbaja, he noted the large turnout of voters and stated that candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged through a transparent and credible process.

Nwifuru asserted that there was no need for heavy security when citizens are allowed to choose their leaders freely. He described himself as “a party man” and indicated that he had no opponents within the APC in the state, advocating for competitive elections to foster the best leadership.

While expressing his desire for the APC to win, he affirmed the competence of the party's candidates for the positions they contested. Reports confirmed peaceful voting across the local government areas, with significant voter participation.
