NDC's Chinyeaka Ohaa Supports Attack Victims in Enugu

Chinyeaka Ohaa, the governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State, visited party members injured during an attack on September 12, 2026, at a ward meeting in Obuoffia, Nkanu West Local Government Area. Armed men disrupted the meeting, resulting in eight members sustaining gunshot injuries.

Ohaa condemned the attack and pledged to take responsibility for the medical expenses and other costs incurred by the victims during their recovery. He emphasized that no political ambition justifies such violence and called for a thorough investigation by the Enugu State Police Command to identify and prosecute those responsible.

Ohaa also expressed concern over similar disruptions at other political gatherings and urged political leaders and stakeholders to unite against political violence, stating that allowing violence to become normalized poses a threat to all political gatherings.
