Enugu Varsity Suspends Three Law Students for Malpractice

The Management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology has suspended three law students for two academic years due to examination malpractice. The suspension took effect on June 25, 2026, and will continue until June 24, 2028.

The affected students are Isong Ugwu (registration No. ESUT/2023030212973), Gad Nwosu (registration No.

ESUT/2022030203441), and Roseline Nnamani (registration No. ESUT/2024030219772).

The decision was communicated in separate memos by the university’s Registrar, Mr. Ambrose Ugwu, on a Monday in Enugu.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, approved the recommendations of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee.

The Registrar instructed the students to return any university property and vacate the campus immediately. Additionally, the sponsors of the students and the National Universities Commission have been informed of the situation.

The students will be required to apply for readmission upon the expiration of their suspension in June 2028.
