Epe Leads Nigerian Golfers in Sunshine Development Tour

Epe has emerged as a leader in the Nigerian golfing scene by securing qualification spots for the Sunshine Development Tour (SDT). The event took place at the Lakow Lake Golf Course in Lagos, where former Nigerian number one, Franci Ep, delivered a dominant performance, finishing at the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 209, nine shots ahead of the competition.

Ep expressed satisfaction with his performance, emphasizing the importance of patience and focus throughout the rounds. He noted that winning the qualification school is a cherished honor and a confidence booster for the upcoming tour season.

Other notable players included Ghana's Dzadei Barri and Nigeria's Bako Kamalu Okoko Godwin, who shared second place with a total of 218. David Kihara, director of the SDT Lagos event, highlighted the tour's vision to strengthen African representation in professional golf, believing that exposure from the SDT will enhance the global relevance of Nigerian and West African golfers.
