Sunshine Development Tour Qualifiers Set for Lakowe

The Sunshine Development Tour qualifiers are set to occur at Lakowe Lake Golf Club from April 13 to April 15, 2026. This 54-hole competition will feature a strong field of professional golfers from West and Central Africa, including participants from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Gabon.

The event is organized by the Sunshine Development Tour, with key figures such as David Ndung'u, Kitonga Kihara, and Benjamin Kuria involved. Femi Olagbenro, the golf manager at Lakowe, emphasized the significance of this inaugural qualifying school event, highlighting its potential to enhance professional golf in West Africa and create global opportunities for players.

Olagbenro also noted the long-term vision for Lakowe Lake Golf Club, aiming to establish the Sunshine Development Tour qualifying school as a permanent fixture in the club's calendar, thereby elevating the standards and visibility of professional golf in the region.
