Rooney: Age Affects Salah's Performance at Liverpool FC

Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United forward, expressed his views on Mohamed Salah's performance at Liverpool FC, suggesting that age has begun to impact Salah as he nears the end of his time at Anfield. Rooney, who had a distinguished career at Manchester United, noted that accepting the decline in performance is one of the hardest moments for a player.

He referenced his own experience, having left Manchester United at age 31 to return to Everton. Salah, now 33, has seen a noticeable dip in his performance this season, with expectations of playing fewer than 30 league matches for the first time since joining Liverpool.

He has scored only seven league goals and provided six assists so far this season. Rooney compared Salah's situation to that of Virgil van Dijk, suggesting that when senior players experience a dip in form, it affects the entire team.

He also praised former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp for his influence on the club.
