Bruno Fernandes Wins FWA Footballer of the Year Award

Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year for his exceptional contributions to Manchester United during the season. The Portuguese midfielder showcased his leadership and creativity, delivering eight goals and 20 assists across 34 appearances despite the team's mixed results.

His performance played a significant role in the team's improvement under interim manager Michael Carrick. At 29 years old, Fernandes became the first Manchester United player to win this prestigious award since Wayne Rooney in 2010.

He joined Manchester United from Sporting CP in 2020 and has since made over 300 appearances for the club. Despite rumors regarding a potential move to Al Hilal, Fernandes remains committed to Manchester United, with his contract running until 2027, including an option for an additional year.
