Bruno Fernandes Wins EPL Player of the Season Award

Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the English Premier League Player of the Season following a remarkable performance where he equaled the EPL record with 20 assists and contributed eight goals. His leadership was instrumental in Manchester United's return to the UEFA Champions League, finishing third in the league.

Fernandes, a former Sporting Lisbon midfielder, is the seventh Manchester United player to receive this award, joining the ranks of notable players such as Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwight Yorke, and Peter Schmeichel. At 31 years old, he becomes the third Portuguese player to win this accolade.

This award comes shortly after he won the Football Writers' Association's Footballer of the Year award, competing against eight other nominees, including players from Arsenal and Manchester City. Fernandes played 34 league matches during the season, breaking the assist record in Manchester United's final match against Aston Villa.
