Bruno Fernandes Wins Premier League Player of the Season

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Season by the Football Writers' Association. This recognition marks him as the first Manchester United player to win the award since Nemanja Vidic in 2011.

Fernandes equaled the record for assists in a Premier League season, achieving 20 assists, and scored eight goals across 37 games. His contributions were pivotal in helping Manchester United secure third place in the league, qualifying for the Champions League.

Fernandes created 132 chances during the season, ranking him second in the league behind Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai. The award was determined through a public vote combined with a panel of football experts, which included notable players such as Arsenal's David Raya, Gabriel, Declan Rice, Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo from Brentford, and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White.

Manchester United is set to travel to Brighton for their final game of the season today.
