Chelsea's Punishment for Transfer Breaches Criticized

Christian Purslow, a former Chelsea FC executive who worked with the club from 2014 to 2017, has described the Premier League's punishment of Chelsea as lenient. The club was fined £10 million, the largest fine in Premier League history, and received a suspended transfer ban after admitting to making a £47.5 million payment to an unregistered agent between 2011 and 2018 during Roman Abramovich's ownership.

Purslow emphasized the seriousness of the case, noting that it represents a significant breach of Premier League rules that have been in place for a long time.
