Rooney Doubts Man Utd's Title Chances Under Carrick

Wayne Rooney, a former striker for Manchester United, has cautioned supporters not to expect the club to challenge for the Premier League title next season under the management of Michael Carrick. Carrick has been confirmed to continue as the team's manager after signing a long-term contract.

Under Carrick's leadership, Manchester United secured third place in the league, finishing the season with 12 wins out of 17 matches, which also qualified them for the UEFA Champions League. Despite this achievement, Rooney remains unconvinced that his former club will be able to contend for the title in the upcoming season.

He stated that while he wants the team to win the league, he believes it will be difficult for them to improve sufficiently to achieve that goal.
