Cole Palmer Critiques Chelsea's 'JP Morgan' Nickname

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer expressed his discontent with the nickname ‘JP Morgan’ assigned to the club's attacking trio, which includes himself, Joao Pedro, and Morgan Rogers. Palmer described the name as ‘rubbish’ and suggested that they should find a more fitting title.

The trio showcased their skills during Chelsea's 2026/27 Premier League season opener, securing a 3-2 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, where all three players scored. Palmer noted their effective collaboration, with both he and Pedro assisting each other’s goals, while Rogers created five scoring opportunities.

Despite some concerns regarding goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, Chelsea fans remain hopeful about the trio's impact in future matches. Palmer highlighted the unique qualities each player brings to the team, stating, “Joao can do a bit of everything.
