Sarr's Liverpool Transfer Falls Through, Says Sage

Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr's anticipated transfer to Liverpool did not materialize, as confirmed by head coach Pierre Sage. Sarr, who was the top scorer for Palace last season, was linked with a move to Anfield during the final stages of the transfer window.

Sage acknowledged the emotional impact on Sarr, stating that it is a dream for many players to join a club of Liverpool's stature. Sarr has not played this season due to a groin injury, missing matches against Everton and Manchester City, and will also be unavailable for the upcoming match against Fulham.

Sage emphasized that Sarr will need time to come to terms with the situation and refocus on his performance at Palace. Additionally, Palace sought to bolster their attack by pursuing Belgium forward Malick Fofana, who ultimately chose to join Sunderland for £30 million.

Sage expressed his best wishes for Fofana, noting the club's efforts in negotiations.
