Emery hints at potential departures from Aston Villa

Unai Emery, the current coach of Aston Villa, has revealed that Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martinez could be the next players to leave the club. Aston Villa has rejected multiple bids from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for Watkins but Emery suggested that the England striker could depart for the right price.

Martinez has expressed a desire for a new challenge, prompting Villa to sign Japan keeper Zion Suzuki as a potential replacement. Emery acknowledged that Watkins' situation is complicated, stating, “If he is leaving it will be for the best three ways.” The club has already seen the departures of Morgan Rogers, Lucas Digne, and Youri Tielemans since the end of last season.

Despite the significant turnover, Emery believes the club has had a productive transfer window, signing several players including Johan Manzambi and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Emery remains optimistic about the club's direction after finishing fourth in the Premier League last season.
