Emi Martínez Completes Chelsea Medical for £7.5M Transfer

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has traveled to London to undergo a medical examination as part of his proposed transfer to Chelsea. The two Premier League clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of around £7.5 million for the Argentina international.

Following the medical tests, Martínez is expected to finalize his move to Chelsea over the weekend. Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X that Martínez is in London for the medical and will sign a contract with Chelsea that is valid until June 2028, with an option for an additional season.

In a separate development, Romano also mentioned that Joshua Zirkzee could leave Manchester United to join Fiorentina on loan, with United set to receive a €5 million loan fee for the Dutch striker. The official bid from Fiorentina is currently being assessed by Manchester United and Zirkzee's camp.
