Eric Chelle Remains with Super Eagles, Media Officer Confirms

Eric Chelle, the current coach of Nigeria's national football team, has been the subject of speculation regarding a potential move to Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca. However, the Super Eagles' media officer, Efogh, has firmly dismissed these claims as untrue, emphasizing that Chelle remains focused on his responsibilities with the Super Eagles.

Reports from Moroccan television outlet Le7tv suggested that the Malian tactician was close to sealing a deal with Wydad, currently managed by Amin Benhachem. Despite the rumors, Chelle's contract with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is valid until January 2027, which further solidifies his commitment to the national team.

The media officer shared this clarification in a WhatsApp group for Super Eagles officials on March 9, aiming to quell any ongoing speculation about Chelle's future, including discussions about a possible switch to French side Olympique de Marseille.
