Éric Chelle Signs with Wilder Sport, Reshapes Management

Éric Chelle, the current coach of Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, has made a significant change to his management team by signing with the French-based agency Wilder Sport. This decision marks the end of his long-standing relationship with Abraham Sidib, a 48-year-old Franco-Malian representative, as confirmed by Chelle on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

Chelle's coaching career has seen a sharp rise, particularly after guiding the Super Eagles to a third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Morocco, which has restored belief in the national side. He believes that the time is right for a fresh professional direction, as he expressed in a conversation with British-Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana from The Guardian UK.

Chelle's move to Wilder Sport is expected to fuel speculation regarding his long-term ambitions, especially with recent links to Ligue 1 heavyweight Olympique de Marseille. Despite these rumors, Chelle's focus remains firmly on Nigeria, where he has a two-year contract starting in 2025, as he prepares the Super Eagles for the next round of international fixtures.
