eTranzact Launches 1,000 Agents for Financial Inclusion in Ogun

eTranzact International PLC has expanded its financial inclusion efforts in Ogun State by onboarding 1,000 agents and deploying PocketMoni terminals across communities in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. This initiative is designed to bring digital financial services closer to underserved residents, creating additional income opportunities for small business owners.

Gboyega Kareem Adeleke, Chairman of the Zonal Community Development Committee in Obafemi Owode, described the initiative as a significant step towards improving financial access and stimulating local economic activity. Olalekan Disu, Division Head of Financial Inclusion at eTranzact, stated that the project demonstrates the impact of delivering financial services directly to communities, emphasizing the importance of building trust and empowering local agents.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to bridge the financial access gap across rural and semi-urban communities in Nigeria, supporting the country's transition to a digital economy.
