Tinubu Launches Water Supply Project for Abuja Suburbs

President Bola Tinubu has renewed hope for the satellite towns in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by inaugurating a substantial water supply network that links Karu, Orozo, Jikwoyi, and Kurudu. During the inauguration, Tinubu emphasized that the era of neglecting these suburbs is over, recalling the administration's promise to improve basic amenities for residents.

He noted that the project, which includes a 194-kilometer secondary and tertiary pipeline network, aims to deliver safe potable water directly to the communities. Tinubu expressed gratitude for the fulfillment of this promise, stating that access to clean water is a fundamental human right.

He commended the leadership of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his efforts in delivering this project and reiterated the government's commitment to urban renewal and rural integration. The project is part of a broader initiative to uplift the living standards of residents in the FCT and to ensure that infrastructure development reaches all areas, including satellite towns.
