Etsu Nupe Honors Kwara Senator with Traditional Title

On a formal occasion, the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, conferred the traditional title of 1st Tabariki Nupe upon Senator Saliu Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the National Assembly.

This decision was conveyed by a delegation from the Bida Emir Council, led by Alhaji Kassim N. Yawa, who is the chairman of the traditional turbaning committee.

The title "Tabariki," derived from the Arabic word "tabarakah," signifies abundant blessings. Senator Mustapha expressed his gratitude towards the Etsu Nupe and the Bida Emir Council for this honor, emphasizing the importance of this recognition as a reflection of the long-standing historical and cultural ties between the Bida Emirate and the Ilorin Emirate.

He pledged to uphold the dignity of the title and continue his commitment to public service and societal development. The date for the formal conferment ceremony is expected to be announced by the Emir Council.
